GSM (grams per square meter) measures fabric weight. It is the quickest way to describe how thick and heavy a hoodie or tee will feel.
Common hoodie weights
- Lightweight (about 200 to 280 GSM): breathable, good for layering and warm climates.
- Midweight (about 280 to 350 GSM): the standard retail hoodie: soft, durable and easy to decorate.
- Heavyweight (about 350 GSM and above): a thick, structured streetwear feel with a premium hand.
Choosing the right GSM
